# Frequently Asked Questions

# Will the GLM 5 API identifier change when GLM 5.4 is released?

Not necessarily. We first offer the minor update as a preview for at least one month. Once it passes validation, we can update the model behind GLM 5 without requiring you to change the API identifier. See Minor Updates.

# Does LTS mean the exact same model is kept for six months?

No. LTS applies to the major-version offering and its retirement transition period. We may update the underlying minor release after validation. See Model Lifecycle.

# Can we continue using a deprecated model?

Yes, during its published support period. If you need the model after its planned retirement, contact us to discuss custom hosting and a consumption commitment.

# Are preview models covered by the SLA?

No. Preview models are experimental and are not covered by the production SLA. The SLA also distinguishes between availability of the PHOENIQS service and availability of individual third-party or open-source models. Your contract sets out the applicable terms.
